STAMFORD ERUV PROPERTIES

Leaving the big city for life in the suburbs? Stamford is the place for you! Stamford is Connecticut’s 2nd largest city, with a population of over 129,302, with a small-town feel. Our wonderful city hosts an impressive number of corporate headquarters, a vibrant nightlife/community events, an excellent healthcare system, schools, and array of housing options.

Stamford is often called the "Gateway to Connecticut" given its proximity to New York City with Metro North express trains to Grand Central in 48 minutes. The Stamford Transportation Center also features Greyhound, Peter Pan, and CT transit buses as well as taxi and corporate shuttle services. This connectivity has allowed Stamford to break the "commuter city" stigma and allows people to commute both to and from Manhattan, New Haven, Greenwich, and Westchester County NY. Stamford is the second busiest Metro North Station on any line and on any day of the week, only after Grand Central Terminal.

All of that aside, we know you came to our site to find out more about our dynamic Jewish community, which has been in existence for over 100 years. The larger Jewish population in Stamford includes over 12,000 individuals, and our inclusive community is always welcoming newcomers with wide ranges of observance. We have two orthodox shuls (Congregation Agudath Shalom & Young Israel of Stamford), one conservative shul (Temple Beth El), and one reform shul (Temple Sinai).

We are constantly growing and striving to make all feel connected through organizations, such as Chabad of Stamford and Stamford JCC, which provide a variety of programs and promote community outreach.
